ARMANI WHITE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE DELI MAGAZINE:
”I come from a family of horn players; my grandfather taught Jeff Bradshaw how to play the horn, and all of my uncles and cousins are in brass bands. So I’ve always been around music. But really starting to write it out was around 2nd grade. I started listening to Eminem at a very early age when I heard him in my mom’s Hyundai, which is almost cancerous! I was sort’ve shut out creatively by my family; it wasn’t fully their fault - I don’t believe. My mother was working most of the time, and I was spending my time sneaking off the school bus to find my own way home. So hearing someone like Eminem express himself how he pleased in a song like “Kill You,” which was nothing like any other type of music that ever crossed paths with me. It inspired me to start writing, abandoning homework assignments to match up different words in the dictionary. That was the hobby before writing rhymes, finding what actually did rhyme. From there on, it’s just been consistent work!”
